Engaging and fun every day: That’s our Discovery Club in a nutshell.

School-age kids age 5-12 want to feel all grown up, yet they still crave comfort and security. So instead of just day care, our program is designed to support their increasing interest in sports, art, music and more, both before and after school.

Discovery Club also features:

•        Weekly Themed Activities — Every week brings a new theme with stimulating and relevant projects, and fun learning activities:   from the sock hop in 50’s week to panning for gold in Wild, Wild West week.

•        Enrichment Electives — Electives offered on a daily are P.E., Spanish, cooking, gymnastics, yoga, gardening or elements of art.

•        Free Transportation — Parkside transports to almost every school in Chico making it convenient for our parents.

•        Homework Club --- We provide a quiet time for children to work and receive teacher help on their homework.

•        Nutritious Meals and Snacks— Parkside is passionate about serving top quality food and educating the children on the importance of healthy eating.

•        Center Activities---During center time children can select an activity of choice to play by themselves or with a small group (I.e. board games, magnet tiles, legos, doll house, car and trucks, dinosaurs, dress up, etc.).

Teachers provide a balance of organized and self-selected activities, all in a positive, supportive atmosphere. Whether relaxing, doing homework or having fun with friends, children thrive as members of Discovery Club. And you’ll have peace of mind knowing your child is safe and having fun.
